How to cancel a pending transaction on Crypto.com
A pending transaction on Crypto.com means your crypto transfer is waiting for blockchain confirmation, often due to low fees or network congestion.

Understanding Pending Transactions on Crypto.com
When using the Crypto.com platform, users may occasionally encounter a pending transaction that does not confirm or complete as expected. A pending transaction typically refers to a transfer of cryptocurrency that has been initiated but has not yet been confirmed on the blockchain. This can occur due to various factors such as network congestion, low transaction fees, or wallet synchronization delays. It's essential to understand that once a transaction is broadcast to the blockchain, it cannot be canceled directly by Crypto.com or any centralized service because blockchain transactions are immutable by design.
The status 'pending' means the transaction is waiting for miners or validators to include it in a block. Until confirmation, the funds remain in a limbo state — not fully transferred, but also not available in your wallet. While Crypto.com acts as an intermediary for managing wallets and executing trades, it does not control the underlying blockchain mechanics. Therefore, any attempt to cancel must rely on blockchain-level features or workarounds such as Replace-by-Fee (RBF) or Double Spending with Higher Fees, which are not universally supported across all cryptocurrencies.
Checking Transaction Status in the Crypto.com App
Before attempting to cancel or resolve a pending transaction, verify its current status within the Crypto.com app. Open the app and navigate to the 'Wallet' section. Locate the specific cryptocurrency involved in the transaction and tap on it. Scroll down to view your transaction history. Find the pending transaction and tap on it to view detailed information.
Pay close attention to the following details:
- The transaction hash (TXID)
- The network being used (e.g., Ethereum, Bitcoin, BSC)
- The miner fee attached
- The number of confirmations (should be 0 if still pending)
You can copy the TXID and paste it into a blockchain explorer such as Etherscan for Ethereum or Blockstream for Bitcoin. This allows you to see whether the transaction is stuck due to low fees or if it has been dropped by the network. If the transaction does not appear on the blockchain explorer, it may still be queued in Crypto.com’s internal system and not yet broadcast — in such cases, contact support immediately.
Conditions Under Which Cancellation Is Possible
True cancellation of a blockchain transaction is not feasible once it has been broadcast. However, under certain conditions, you may be able to effectively replace or override the original transaction. This depends on the blockchain protocol and whether it supports mempool replacement mechanisms.
For Bitcoin, if the original transaction was sent with Replace-by-Fee (RBF) enabled, you can create a new transaction with a higher fee to replace the pending one. Most wallets control RBF settings, but Crypto.com does not currently allow users to enable RBF manually. Therefore, if RBF was not activated at the time of sending, this method will not work.
For Ethereum and ERC-20 tokens, you can cancel a pending transaction by sending a 0 ETH transaction to your own address using the same nonce and a significantly higher gas fee. This requires using a wallet that allows manual nonce and gas control, such as MetaMask. Since Crypto.com does not expose nonce settings, you must first withdraw funds to an external wallet that supports such advanced features before attempting cancellation.
Steps to Replace a Pending Ethereum Transaction
If your pending transaction is on the Ethereum network, you can attempt to override it using a wallet with advanced controls. Follow these steps:
- Export your private key or seed phrase from Crypto.com (only do this on a secure device)
- Import the wallet into MetaMask or another Ethereum-compatible wallet
- In MetaMask, switch to the network where the pending transaction exists
- Click on the pending transaction in the activity list
- Select 'Speed Up' if available, or choose 'Cancel'
- When canceling, MetaMask will create a 0 ETH transaction to your own address
- Set a high gas fee to ensure quick confirmation
- Confirm the cancellation transaction
This new transaction uses the same nonce as the stuck one but offers a higher fee, incentivizing miners to prioritize it. Once confirmed, the original pending transaction becomes invalid. Note that you will lose the gas fee from the original transaction, but the principal amount will remain in your wallet.
Dealing with Non-EVM and Bitcoin Transactions
For Bitcoin transactions sent via Crypto.com, options are extremely limited. If the transaction remains pending for more than 72 hours, it may eventually be dropped from the mempool, and funds could return automatically — but this is not guaranteed. Some third-party services offer transaction acceleration, but Crypto.com does not support this feature.
For non-EVM chains like Solana, Ripple, or Cardano, cancellation is generally not possible. These networks process transactions quickly, and if a transaction is pending, it is likely due to a rare network delay or node issue. In such cases, wait for resolution or contact Crypto.com support with the TXID and timestamp.
If the transaction was sent to a smart contract or involves staking, swaps, or DeFi interactions, interference could lead to fund loss. Never attempt manual overrides unless you fully understand the implications.
Contacting Crypto.com Support for Assistance
If the transaction was not broadcast to the blockchain and remains in a pre-pending state within the app, it may still be cancelable through Crypto.com customer support. Go to the Help Center in the app, select 'Contact Support', and provide:
- Your account email
- The transaction amount and currency
- The date and time of the transaction
- The wallet address involved
- A clear explanation that the transaction is stuck or unconfirmed
Support may be able to reverse internal transfers if they haven’t been committed to the blockchain. However, once on-chain, Crypto.com cannot intervene.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I cancel a pending withdrawal on Crypto.com before it’s processed?Yes, if the withdrawal is still in a 'processing' or 'initiated' state and hasn't been broadcast to the blockchain, you may cancel it by contacting Crypto.com support immediately. Provide the transaction ID and request cancellation. This only works before blockchain confirmation.
Why does my transaction stay pending for hours?A transaction remains pending primarily due to low network fees. During peak congestion on networks like Ethereum, miners prioritize transactions with higher gas fees. If your fee was too low, the transaction may wait in the mempool for hours or days.
Will I lose my funds if a transaction is stuck? No, your funds are not lost. If a pending transaction is dropped by the network, the amount will return to your wallet automatically, though this can take up to several days. If replaced via a cancellation method, the original amount stays in your control.
Does Crypto.com offer a transaction acceleration feature? No, Crypto.com does not provide transaction acceleration for Bitcoin or Ethereum. Users must use external wallets with manual fee controls to replace or speed up transactions on supported networks.
