How to find your Bybit UID? (Customer support)
Your Bybit UID is a permanent, numeric identifier (10–12 digits) used internally for account verification and support—distinct from your email, referral code, or wallet address.
Feb 16, 2026 at 12:00 pm
Understanding Your Bybit UID
1. The Bybit UID is a unique numerical identifier assigned to every registered user upon account creation. It remains constant across all Bybit services and cannot be changed or reset.
2. This UID differs from your login email, phone number, or username. It serves as the internal reference used by Bybit’s backend systems for account verification, transaction tracing, and support ticket resolution.
3. Unlike public wallet addresses, the UID is not visible on-chain and does not appear in blockchain explorers. It exists solely within Bybit’s infrastructure.
4. Support agents frequently request this UID when processing identity-related requests, deposit disputes, or API key issues—making accurate retrieval essential for timely assistance.
Locating Your UID via Web Dashboard
1. Log into your Bybit account using your credentials at bybit.com. Ensure two-factor authentication is completed if enabled.
2. Hover over or click your profile icon located in the top-right corner of the dashboard interface.
3. Select Account Settings from the dropdown menu. Navigate to the Security tab.
4. Scroll down to the section labeled Account Information. Your UID appears directly beneath your registered email address, formatted as a 10- to 12-digit number.
5. Copy the number manually or use the clipboard icon next to it if available. Avoid confusing it with your referral ID or API key ID.
Retrieving UID Through Mobile Application
1. Open the official Bybit mobile app and authenticate using biometrics, password, or 2FA.
2. Tap the Profile icon in the bottom navigation bar. Then select Security Center.
3. Look for the entry titled User ID under the personal details segment. It is displayed without any prefix or suffix.
4. Some app versions display the UID only after tapping “View Details” or “Show More.” If not immediately visible, check sub-menus like Account Overview or Verification Status.
5. Screenshot the screen containing the UID for future reference—but never share it publicly or with unverified third parties.
UID Visibility in Transaction Records
1. Go to Orders or Transaction History in your account dashboard.
2. Select any completed futures, spot, or options trade. Click to expand the full transaction detail view.
3. Within the raw metadata panel—often accessible via an “i” icon or “Advanced Details” toggle—you may find fields labeled uid, user_id, or account_uid.
4. This method acts as secondary confirmation. Do not rely on it as the primary source, since certain transaction types (e.g., P2P trades) may omit the UID from client-facing logs.
5. Internal system logs accessed by Bybit support always reflect the same UID, regardless of which interface displays it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I change my Bybit UID? No. The UID is immutable and permanently tied to your initial registration. Account reactivation, KYC resubmission, or email updates do not alter it.
Q: Is my UID the same as my Bybit referral code? No. Referral codes are alphanumeric strings generated separately and can be customized. Your UID is numeric and fixed.
Q: Why does customer support ask for my UID instead of my email? Email addresses can be reused across accounts or altered post-registration. The UID guarantees precise identification without ambiguity during high-volume support operations.
Q: Does the UID appear on withdrawal receipts or deposit confirmations? No. Withdrawal emails and on-chain deposit notifications include wallet addresses and transaction hashes—not your UID. It remains internal to Bybit’s user management layer.
