The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) is introducing a new service schedule for the two Coin Carts used in the Coin Collection Programme. The two Coin Carts, deployed as part of the Coin Collection Programme, will continue their service in collecting coins from members of the public at various locations throughout the 18 districts of Hong Kong on a rotating basis.

The Coin Carts will be providing service at locations that offer convenience to the public without causing any hindrance to the normal flow of traffic or pedestrians. This will minimize the need for using the Coin Carts' own stand-by generators, rendering the Programme more environmentally friendly.

Each Coin Cart will typically remain at a location for a period of one week, subject to the availability of the parking space and the maintenance schedule of the Cart. An electrical wheelchair lift is also available for the convenience of wheelchair users.
