La Cabane du Cap'Ouest Emerges as a New Culinary and Musical Destination

Cendrine and Lionel, the proprietors of the newly opened La Cabane du Cap'Ouest, have unveiled their captivating "bar à manger," a culinary and social haven that has quickly become a local favorite. Guests have already been treated to the establishment's stunning decor, picturesque views, and an eclectic musical program.

The festivities commenced on April 20th with Picky Balthazar gracing the stage, followed by DJ Yann Vico on May 19th. June 29th will witness the electrifying performance of Cassin'Jacks, while Normandy Ska Jazz Ensemble takes center stage on August 17th. The musical extravaganza culminates on August 18th with the soulful harmonies of Duo Piano Voix Berenice.

In collaboration with renowned artist Lalo Chantage, participants will contribute lyrics to this musical masterpiece through a series of workshops, culminating in a public performance.

The club's diverse calendar offers something for everyone, from live music by local and international artists to lectures and captivating children's shows. Starting April 30th, the club will host nearly 40 events, featuring performances by One Shot Cocotte, Muzikat, The Bad Ass Bluegrass, Imarhan Timbuktu, Briovera Quarter, Flying Chickens, and many more.

June will bring a special lecture by historian Michel Boivin on June 19th, exploring the themes of occupation and liberation in the Manche region. Wood will headline a concert on July 13th, followed by a nostalgic "Crabe Tambour" revival evening. The club will also participate in the beach festival and has invited Tha Dunciz to perform. Throughout the summer, the Sciotot Surf School will welcome enthusiasts from Monday to Saturday, offering lessons tailored to all levels. Under the guidance of experienced instructors, participants will learn the art of conquering the waves and gliding through the water with confidence. The school also provides rental equipment, including surfboards and wetsuits.

Volley-ball Flamanville Les Pieux Celebrates 40 Years of Camaraderie and Competition

This year marks a significant milestone for the Volley-ball Flamanville Les Pieux (VBFLP) club as it commemorates its 40th anniversary. Over the past four decades, the VBFLP has fostered a thriving community of volleyball and beach volleyball enthusiasts, fostering both camaraderie and competitive spirit.

The club has planned a series of events throughout the summer, including four beach volleyball tournaments open to all amateurs, who will have the opportunity to enjoy the pristine sands and refreshing waves of Sciotot. The tournament dates to mark on your calendar are June 22nd, July 6th, August 3rd, and August 17th.

To honor this special anniversary, a tournament with former club members is also scheduled for late August, bringing together generations of beach volleyball players.

The Grand Fête de la Plage: A Weekend of Celebration

On August 10th and 11th, the combined efforts of the Les Pieux Commerces association and the fêtes committee will culminate in the Fête de la Plage, a spectacular celebration of the beach. The weekend's festivities will conclude with an enchanting fireworks display on Sunday evening.

Visitors to the Fête de la Plage will have the opportunity to meet with lifeguards from the Diélette station at their information booth.
