Interpol Seeks ‘Coin Young Master’ in Fraud and Theft Case

Hong Kong officials have enlisted the aid of Interpol in tracking down a well-known cryptocurrency promoter, Wong Ching-kit, for his alleged involvement in several fraud and theft cases. He is currently wanted for fraud and theft in connection with a HK$3 million cryptocurrency scam being investigated by the Commercial Crime Bureau.

Wong, 30, who goes by the nickname “Coin Young Master,” became infamous in 2018 for tossing HK$6,000 from a rooftop in a stunt believed to be promoting his cryptocurrency File Cash Coin, which later lost value. Following his rooftop antics, he was apprehended for disorderly conduct and later released on bail. Investors sued him in 2019 for misleading them about a File Cash Coin mining operation.

Wong, whose birth name is Kwan Tsz-kit, operated multiple crypto schemes. After being convicted of theft in 2012 and sentenced to 160 hours of community service, he changed his name.

An Interpol red notice is an alert issued to law enforcement agencies worldwide, requesting the location and provisional arrest of a person pending extradition or other legal action. It is not an international arrest warrant but rather facilitates cooperation among countries in apprehending fugitives.

Please share your thoughts on the worldwide effort to locate Wong Ching-kit and his associate in the comments section below.
