German fashion house Hugo Boss's youth-oriented sub-brand, Hugo, has collaborated with Web3 entertainment company Imaginary Ones to launch an exclusive drop of customizable denim jackets. This innovative garment seamlessly blends the physical and digital realms, offering a unique and immersive experience for its target audience of Generation Z consumers.

The special-edition denim jacket is crafted from Hugo Blu, the brand's dedicated denim line. It features an integrated Near-Field Communication (NFC) tag that unlocks a Web Augmented Reality (WebAR) experience when tapped with a smartphone. This experience allows users to customize their digital avatar skin in the popular online gaming platform Roblox.

Hugo's partnership with Imaginary Ones reflects its strategic focus on activating gaming and Metaverse spaces as key cultural territories. The brand aims to foster gamification, social interaction, self-expression, and self-exploration among its Gen-Z demographic.

From May 17th, interested individuals were granted a 72-hour window to claim their jacket through a hidden page on Hugo Boss's official website. The denim garment is accompanied by a DIY customization kit comprising five exclusive Hugo x Imaginary Ones patches, inviting wearers to personalize their jacket to their unique style.

The embedded NFC tag, located beneath the Hugo flower patch, grants access to the WebAR experience. Users can customize their digital wearable and share it across various social platforms without downloading a dedicated application.
