Challenges in getting Solana ETF approved

Last week, Brazil approved the first Solana ETF, sparking debate about the possibility of approval in the US. However, many financial experts remain skeptical due to concerns about the main token, SOL.

According to data from the Dune dashboard on August 11, more than 162,503 SOLs were issued, equivalent to about 25 million USD. These tokens are distributed as rewards to validators for maintaining network security. Critics say this high issuance rate could cause selling pressure, destabilizing the long-term value of the asset.

Trong một cuộc phỏng vấn với BeInCrypto, Griffin Ardern, Trưởng phòng Nghiên cứu & Tùy chọn tại BloFin, đã thảo luận về các trở ngại tiềm năng khác cho Solana, đặc biệt là sự ổn định của mạng.

In an interview with BeInCrypto, Griffin Ardern, Head of Research & Options at BloFin, discussed other potential obstacles for Solana, especially network stability.

Mặc dù có những trở ngại này, ngành công nghiệp vẫn còn lạc quan. Các quản lý tài sản như VanEck và 21Shares đã nộp đơn xin phê duyệt ETF Solana tại Mỹ. Despite these headwinds, the industry remains optimistic. Asset managers such as VanEck and 21Shares have applied for approval of the Solana ETF in the US. The US Securities and Exchange Commission's decision deadline is mid-March 2025. This shows that, despite significant challenges, the door is not completely closed for a Solana ETF.
