At Jacques-Laurent Elementary School in Les Garets, France, students in grades CE1 and CE2 embarked on an educational and empowering journey by participating in a first aid training session led by paramedics Lisa and Olivier from UDSP03.

Clément Failly, a representative of Macif, emphasized, "Our aim is to introduce 'basic first aid' to students in Vichy and empower them with the ability to react swiftly and confidently in the event of an accident or emergency."

Paramedics demonstrated real-life scenarios, assisted by personnel from the Moulins Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS), to enhance the learning experience.

During one such scenario, Lydia discovered an unresponsive man lying on the ground and promptly dialed 18, the French emergency hotline. A SDIS paramedic answered the call, providing Lydia with clear instructions on how to check for breathing and perform cardiac massage. "This is a situation that could happen in real life," the paramedic emphasized.
