The EU has now officially contacted US officials to arrange the meetings ahead of the new July deadline.

This action follows Trump’s decision to postpone the 50% tariff on European goods, which was initially set to take effect on June 1.

With the new July deadline approaching, EU representatives are arranging the meetings to try and find common ground before the possibility of the 50% Trump tariffs being imposed arises.

President Trump disclosed in a recent social media post that the EU is now planning to quickly engage in talks to avoid the proposed trade penalties.
