"Optimistic Rollups and Zero-Knowledge (ZK) Rollups are two types of rollups that are being used to scale DeFi applications."

In contrast, ZK Rollups use zk-SNARKs (zero-knowledge succinct non-interactive arguments of knowledge) to generate a small, verifiable proof of a large computation, keeping transaction data private and performing operations off-chain.

"Liquidity-as-a-Service (LaaS) models, where platforms manage their own liquidity, are also being developed to improve capital efficiency and stability."
