Recent activity has seen the Bitcoin network experience severe congestion as a result of OKX wallet transaction backlogs, leading to a lag in memory usage.

The mempool, which is a pool of unconfirmed Bitcoin transactions, has been experiencing congestion for several days. The backlog of transactions has caused the mempool to reach a size of 1.35 gigabytes, which is the largest it has been since November 2017.
