output: TopLine Financial Credit Union, a Twin Cities-based member-owned financial services cooperative, held their fourth annual diaper and wipe drive during the month of April benefitting three local non-profits.
After three successful years of collecting diapers and baby wipes for the non-profit Diaper Bank of Minnesota, TopLine expanded the program this year to include Avenues for Youth, Hope 4 Youth and YMCA of the North Youth and Family Services.
Despite the best efforts of parents and caregivers, sometimes families struggle to meet even the most basic needs of their children. Through programs and services, each of these non-profits provide support to youth and families in our local communities.
Avenues for Youth provides emergency shelter, short-term housing and supportive services for homeless youth in a safe and nurturing environment. There are over 6,000 homeless youth in Minnesota each night. Avenues shelters in Brooklyn Park and Minneapolis help over 300 youth.
Hope 4 Youth is a nonprofit organization in Anoka County that helps young people, ages 16-24, who are experiencing homelessness in the northern Twin Cities metro area.
The YMCA of the North Youth and Family Services is a leading nonprofit dedicated to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
Together, members and employees of TopLine Financial Credit Union donated a large collection of diapers, wipes and other baby care items to help bring comfort to families in need.
“We are so grateful to TopLine Financial Credit Union and their members and employees for their generous support of Avenues for Youth,” said Marcie Mays, development associate at Avenues for Youth. “Their contributions will make a real difference in the lives of homeless youth in our community.”
“We are thankful for TopLine’s dedication to making a positive impact on youth in the community,” said Sarah Schuenemann, development associate at Hope 4 Youth. “Their support will help us continue to provide critical services to young people experiencing homelessness.”
“The YMCA of the North Youth and Family Services is grateful for TopLine Financial Credit Union’s support,” said Catrina Jackson, development associate at the Y. “This donation will help us continue to provide programs and services that empower youth and families to reach their full potential.”
