ArcLight Capital Partners, LLC announced its managed fund (collectively, "ArcLight") has acquired a 25% interest in Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America ("NGPL")

BOSTON, May 13, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- ArcLight Capital Partners, LLC (collectively, "ArcLight") today announced that a managed fund acquired a 25% interest in Natural Gas Pipeline Company of America ("NGPL"), a strategic natural gas infrastructure system, from Kinder Morgan, Inc. (NYSE: KMI). As a result of the transaction, ArcLight will become the largest owner of NGPL with a 62.5% economic ownership interest. Kinder Morgan continues to own a 37.5% economic interest and operate NGPL.
NGPL is a 9,100-mile natural gas pipeline system that spans the Mid-Continent, Midwest, Northeast, and Gulf Coast regions of the U.S., connecting the major natural gas basins and demand markets. The system includes 79 compressor stations with approximately 1 million horsepower of compression and 288 billion cubic feet of storage located in Texas and Louisiana. With ~9,100 miles of pipeline, compressor stations totaling ~1 million horsepower, and 288 billion cubic feet of storage, NGPL provides critical energy, access, reliability and supply from all major U.S. natural gas basins.
