Jetstar has confirmed that a GPS system fault has disrupted a "small number of flights".
The airline is yet to confirm the exact number and locations of flights affected by the fault.
However, the ABC understands that they include Jetstar flights from Melbourne and Brisbane to Bali and Fiji that were cancelled on Thursday.
Jetstar said that its NEO aircraft received a fault message with the ADS-B (GPS) system, which required the system to be reset before the flight departs.
"Which has caused a small number of disruptions to flights," the spokeswoman for Jetstar said in a statement.
"Engineers have inspected the aircraft and have determined the multiple aircraft GPS systems continue to operate and transmit signals.
"There has been minimal impact to our operation, and we thank our customers for their patience if they have experienced any delays while engineers conduct system resets."
Jetstar said that no other Qantas Group aircraft types had been affected.
The likely cause is understood to have been caused by an external issue with GPS or satellite signals.
