Accessing the KuCoin Platform
1. Open your preferred web browser and navigate to the official KuCoin website. Ensure the URL is correct to avoid phishing risks. Logging in from the authentic site protects your assets and personal data.
2. Enter your registered email address and password to log in. If two-factor authentication is enabled, complete the verification process using your authenticator app or SMS code.
3. Once logged in, verify your identity if prompted. KuCoin may require additional confirmation for security purposes, especially when accessing account features from a new device.
4. Navigate to the top-right corner of the dashboard and locate your profile icon. Click it to reveal a dropdown menu containing various tools and settings.
5. Select “Price Alerts” from the dropdown list. This option opens a dedicated interface where you can manage all your current and future price monitoring preferences.
Creating a New Price Alert
1. In the Price Alerts section, click the “+ Create Alert” button. A pop-up window will appear, prompting you to input specific parameters for the alert.
2. Choose the cryptocurrency pair you want to monitor. Use the search bar to quickly find tokens such as BTC/USDT, ETH/USDC, or any other available trading pair on KuCoin.
You can set alerts for both rising and falling prices, giving you flexibility based on your trading strategy.3. Enter the target price at which you want to be notified. This can be above or below the current market value depending on whether you're tracking a breakout or a dip.
4. Select your preferred notification method. KuCoin supports push notifications, email alerts, and in-app messages. Choose one or multiple channels to ensure you don’t miss critical updates.
5. Confirm the alert by clicking “Set Alert.” The system will validate your input and add the new alert to your active list, visible under the same section.
Managing Existing Alerts
1. Return to the Price Alerts dashboard to view all active notifications. Each entry displays the coin pair, target price, direction, and notification method.
2. To modify an existing alert, click the edit icon (pencil symbol) next to the entry. Adjust the price threshold or change the notification channel as needed.
3. If a market condition has been met or you no longer wish to track a specific price point, delete the alert using the trash icon. This keeps your list clean and focused.
KuCoin allows users to set multiple alerts per trading pair, enabling granular tracking across different price levels.4. Monitor the status of each alert. Active alerts remain in the list until triggered or manually removed. Once triggered, you’ll receive the notification based on your selected method.
5. Reuse past alerts by duplicating them with adjusted values. This saves time when setting up similar conditions for other assets or updated market scenarios.
