How to Check the Unrealized PNL of an Open MEXC Futures Position?

To view your unrealized PnL on MEXC, log in, go to Derivatives → Futures, locate the Positions panel below the chart, and check the dynamically updated USDT-value—calculated as (Mark − Entry) × Size for longs, or (Entry − Mark) × Size for shorts.

Oct 07, 2026 at 04:00 am

Accessing the Futures Dashboard

1. Log in to your MEXC account using valid credentials and two-factor authentication.

2. Navigate to the top navigation bar and click on Derivatives, then select Futures from the dropdown menu.

3. Ensure you are on the USDT-Margined Futures or COIN-Margined Futures tab, depending on your position type.

4. Confirm that the trading pair matching your open position is active in the market selector—e.g., BTC/USDT, ETH/USDT.

5. The interface will load real-time order book data, candlestick chart, and position summary panel at the bottom.

Locating the Position Panel

1. Scroll down to the section labeled Positions, typically located beneath the chart and above the order entry fields.

2. If no positions appear, verify that margin mode (cross/isolated) and leverage settings match those used when opening the trade.

3. Each active position displays key fields: symbol, side (long/short), size, entry price, mark price, liquidation price, and leverage.

4. The column titled Unrealized PnL shows a dynamically updated value in USDT or the base asset, depending on contract type.

5. Values update every 1–3 seconds via WebSocket; fluctuations reflect changes in mark price relative to entry.

Understanding Unrealized PnL Calculation

1. For long positions: (Mark Price − Entry Price) × Position Size.

2. For short positions: (Entry Price − Mark Price) × Position Size.

3. Funding fees, if accrued since last settlement, are excluded from this figure—they appear separately under Funding.

4. The displayed amount does not include transaction fees or insurance fund deductions, which only apply upon closure.

5. Negative values indicate unrealized loss; positive values reflect unrealized profit—both denominated in quote currency.

Verifying Data Integrity

1. Cross-check the mark price shown in the position row against the one displayed in the top-right corner of the chart window.

2. Compare your position size with the quantity visible in the Open Orders or Order History tabs to rule out partial fills or duplicate entries.

3. Confirm timestamp alignment: the “Last Updated” indicator beside the position panel should show less than five seconds ago.

4. If Unrealized PnL reads zero despite an active position, inspect whether the position has been auto-liquidated—the status may still appear as “open” briefly before syncing.

5. Disable browser ad blockers or script filters temporarily, as they may interrupt WebSocket connections required for live PnL streaming.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Does Unrealized PnL include funding payments?A: No. Funding payments are settled separately and appear under the Funding column—not within Unrealized PnL.

Q: Why does Unrealized PnL differ between MEXC web and mobile apps?A: Minor discrepancies may occur due to asynchronous WebSocket reconnection or differing cache refresh intervals across platforms.

Q: Can I export Unrealized PnL history for tax reporting?A: MEXC does not provide direct export of unrealized PnL over time; only realized PnL appears in Account Statements after position closure.

Q: Is Unrealized PnL affected by my leverage setting?A: Leverage does not alter the PnL calculation itself—it magnifies the impact of price movement on margin but not the raw PnL formula.
