A new 18-hole mini-golf course, designed and installed by Adventure Golf & Sports (AGS), has opened in the Avondale area of New Orleans, Louisiana.

The new mini-golf venue, named Throttle & Swing, is owned by the Nola Motorsports Park, whose racetrack is located adjacent to the new mini-golf and FEC.

Nola Motorsports had been planning to add another entertainment option to its park for some time, and the company decided to install a mini-golf course after surveying local residents and visitors to the park.

David Pace, CEO of Nola Motorsports, said: “We’re not really set up for a lot of family entertainment. We have go karts and that’s about it. People come in, they drive 20 minutes to half an hour just to spend eight minutes on go karts, and then you’re done, and you’re like ‘what else is there to do?’

The Bunkers & Bumps style mini-golf course that has been installed at Throttle & Swing uses interlocking and permeable panels that are easily assembled and disassembled and are eco-friendly.

The AGS crew completed the installation of the mini-golf course in six weeks.

“It’s quite a challenging course,” said Dustin Tandy, the AGS crew supervisor of the installation. “Players really need skill to read the greens.”

There are also oversized yard games, arcade games, a planned future craft pizza kitchen and a sports and coffee bar alongside the new mini-golf location.
