India’s car behemoth, Maruti Suzuki, is set to launch two new SUVs in 2025, the company announced during the announcement of its roadmap for 2025 on April 25. The company is to launch the eVitara electric SUV, followed by a second, but unnamed SUV by the end of the year.

The eVitara, which debuted at the 2025 Auto Expo in New Delhi, is to be launched officially in September 2025. Display units of the eVitara have already begun arriving at Nexa dealerships in the country.

The eVitara is sure to boost Maruti’s presence in the burgeoning Indian EV market and will be sold through the company’s premium Nexa chain.

Maruti Suzuki is going after a growth model on the back of exports in an aggressive manner. Domestic growth, though steady at 2% YoY, is complemented by a focus to double the export growth in FY26 at 20%. This shift promises to really catapult overall production and sales numbers high.
