The club’s latest statement comes just weeks after they welcomed Bonnie Blue as their new sponsor on April 12. However, one of the team’s players, Ben Williams, reported that the move attracted “a lot of split opinion online,” with some of his married teammates getting “an earful” from their wives.

The club, based in the village of Calstock in Cornwall, had a varied season in the Tavistock League Division One. They finished eighth out of ten teams, managing seven wins, six draws, and seven losses out of their 20 matches.
