This is especially evident in the visuals and presentation of Super Circuit, which aimed for a faux-3D racing experience similar to Super Mario Kart, yet it also incorporated design elements from Mario Kart 64, such as the courses and characters.

Even with the Game Boy Advance's limitations, Nintendo could've done more to help Super Circuit stand out from previous entries. It feels like a pastiche of Super Mario Kart with some design elements from Mario Kart 64, most tracks lack any distinct character or personality, and the game's worst quality is its lack of imagination compared to other Mario Kart titles.
