This update comes as Coinbase is facing a lawsuit from 10,000 users who claim the platform harvested their biometric data without consent. The lawsuit, filed in San Francisco federal court, alleges that Coinbase violated a federal law that prohibits the collection of such data without prior authorization.

The addition came after Coinbase met all the requirements for the S&P 500, including a market capitalization of at least $10 billion and fully diluted shares outstanding of at least 100 million.
