The Utica Unicorns (4-3) came out on top in the first game of Saturday’s doubleheader at Jimmy John’s Field with a 3-2 sudden victory over the Westside Woolly Mammoths (3-3).

Utica Unicorns(4-3)는 토요일 Jimmy John's Field에서 열린 더블헤더 첫 경기에서 Westside Woolly Mammoths(3-3)를 상대로 갑작스러운 3-2 승리를 거두며 1위를 차지했습니다.

Despite being outhit 6-2 by the Mammoths, the Unicorns were able to capitalize on a defensive error in the bottom of the seventh inning to secure the victory.

매머드에게 6-2로 패했음에도 불구하고 유니콘스는 7회말 수비 실책을 살려 승리를 거뒀다.

The Mammoths took an early lead in the second inning when Francis Florentino hit a 320-foot home run to left field. However, the Unicorns responded in the bottom of the inning with an RBI single by Dee Triplett that brought Andre Demetral home.

매머드스는 2회 프란시스 플로렌티노가 좌익수 쪽으로 320피트짜리 홈런을 쳐내며 초반 선두를 차지했다. 그러나 Unicorns는 이닝 말에 Andre Demetral을 집으로 데려온 Dee Triplett의 타점 싱글로 응답했습니다.

Utica regained the lead in the second inning after a Sam Buduris sacrifice that scored Seth Gergely from second. The Mammoths tied the game again in the third inning with an RBI single by Coby Seltzer.

Utica는 2회부터 Seth Gergely를 득점한 Sam Buduris의 희생으로 2회 선두를 되찾았습니다. 맘모스는 3회초 코비 셀처(Coby Seltzer)의 타점 안타로 다시 동점을 만들었다.

The game remained tied at 2-2 after regulation, sending it into sudden victory.

In sudden victory, the Unicorns won the coin toss and elected to bat. Demetral hit a walk-off RBI single to bring in the runner from second and secure the victory for Utica.

갑작스러운 승리로 유니콘스는 동전 던지기에서 승리해 타석에 당선됐다. Demetral은 끝내기 타점 싱글을 쳐서 2위부터 주자를 데려오고 Utica의 승리를 확보했습니다.

The sudden victory format is as follows: a coin toss will take place at home plate between the managers of both teams. The home team will call their selection as the umpire tosses the coin. The winner of the coin toss will select whether they will take the field defensively or bat in the inning. The team at bat will remain the same batting order as the previous inning with the hitter making the last out placed at first base. If the team scores a run, they win. If they are held scoreless, the victory goes to the team on defense.

갑작스러운 승리 형식은 다음과 같습니다. 양 팀 감독 간에 홈 플레이트에서 동전 던지기가 진행됩니다. 심판이 동전을 던지면 홈팀이 자신의 선택을 선언합니다. 동전 던지기의 승자는 수비적으로 필드를 차지할지 이닝에서 타석을 차지할지 선택합니다. 타석 팀은 이전 이닝과 동일한 타순을 유지하며 마지막 아웃은 1루에 배치됩니다. 팀이 득점을 하면 승리합니다. 무득점으로 진행되면 승리는 수비팀에게 돌아갑니다.
