ウェストサイドのウーリーマンモス（3勝3敗）がユティカ・ユニコーンズ（4勝3敗）を6対2で破ったが、守備で勝ち切ることができず、突然の勝利イニングでサヨナラ勝ちを許し、ユニコーンズが勝利を収めた。ジミー・ジョンズ・フィールドで行われる土曜日のダブルヘッダーの第1試合。

The Utica Unicorns (4-3) came out on top in the first game of Saturday’s doubleheader at Jimmy John’s Field with a 3-2 sudden victory over the Westside Woolly Mammoths (3-3).

ユティカ・ユニコーンズ（4勝3敗）は、ジミー・ジョンズ・フィールドで行われた土曜日のダブルヘッダーの第1試合でウェストサイド・ウーリーマンモス（3勝3敗）に3対2でいきなり勝利し、首位に立った。

Despite being outhit 6-2 by the Mammoths, the Unicorns were able to capitalize on a defensive error in the bottom of the seventh inning to secure the victory.

ユニコーンズはマンモスに6対2で負けたにもかかわらず、7回裏に守備のミスを突いて勝利を収めた。

The Mammoths took an early lead in the second inning when Francis Florentino hit a 320-foot home run to left field. However, the Unicorns responded in the bottom of the inning with an RBI single by Dee Triplett that brought Andre Demetral home.

マンモスはフランシス・フロレンティーノが左翼席へ320フィートの本塁打を放ち、2回に早い段階でリードを奪った。しかし、ユニコーンズはイニングの裏にディー・トリプレットの打点打で反撃し、アンドレ・デメトラルがホームに持ち帰った。

Utica regained the lead in the second inning after a Sam Buduris sacrifice that scored Seth Gergely from second. The Mammoths tied the game again in the third inning with an RBI single by Coby Seltzer.

ウティカは2回にサム・ブドゥリスの犠打で二塁からセス・ゲルゲリーが得点し、リードを取り戻した。マンモスは3回にコビー・セルツァーの打点打で再び同点に追いついた。

The game remained tied at 2-2 after regulation, sending it into sudden victory.

試合は規定終了後も２－２の引き分けのまま、いきなり勝利を収めた。

In sudden victory, the Unicorns won the coin toss and elected to bat. Demetral hit a walk-off RBI single to bring in the runner from second and secure the victory for Utica.

突然の勝利で、ユニコーンズがコイントスに勝ち、打席に立つことを選択しました。デメトラルがサヨナラ打点打を放ち、二塁から走者を持ち込み、ユティカの勝利を確実にした。

The sudden victory format is as follows: a coin toss will take place at home plate between the managers of both teams. The home team will call their selection as the umpire tosses the coin. The winner of the coin toss will select whether they will take the field defensively or bat in the inning. The team at bat will remain the same batting order as the previous inning with the hitter making the last out placed at first base. If the team scores a run, they win. If they are held scoreless, the victory goes to the team on defense.

突然の勝利の形式は次のとおりです。本塁で両チームの監督の間でコイントスが行われます。審判がコインを投げると、ホームチームが選択をコールします。コイントスの勝者は、イニングで守備に就くか打席に立つかを選択します。チームの打席は前のイニングと同じ打順のままで、最終アウトの打者は一塁に置く。チームが 1 点を挙げれば勝ちです。無得点に抑えられた場合、勝利は守備側のチームに与えられます。
