The Worldcoin project has added native support for the USDC stablecoin to its blockchain ecosystem, World Chain, in a major step to expand its functionality and enhance its appeal

U.S. cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has announced the addition of support for the Optimism (OP) token.

Optimism is a layer-2 scaling solution for the Ethereum blockchain. It uses optimistic rollups to bundle together multiple off-chain transactions, which are then executed on-chain in a single batch. This allows for faster and cheaper transactions than on-chain.

Optimism is one of the most popular layer-2 scaling solutions, and it has been used by a wide range of decentralized finance (DeFi) applications. The platform’s native token, OP, launched in May 2023. It is used for governance and staking on the Optimism blockchain.

“We are excited to announce that Optimism (OP) is now available on Coinbase One,” the exchange wrote in a statement.

To become a Coinbase One member, users must pay a monthly subscription fee of $15. No minimum trade size is required for trading with zero fees.

Coinbase One members can trade any asset they wish, and there is no limit on trading activity. However, the fee-free benefit only applies to the first $1,000 in trading volume each month. Any trading volume above that amount will be subject to standard trading fees.
