Is Sleep Token Planning to Drop Big News Soon? Their Newest Cryptic Post Online Has the Fanbase Thinking That Might Be the Case

Die-hard fans and newcomers alike have been revelling in Sleep Token’s newest album, Even In Arcadia

Sleep Token fans are used to cryptic posts and messages, but their newest teaser has everyone perplexed.

The masked metal band, who recently released their new album Even In Arcadia to the delight of newcomers and die-hard fans, has shared a new post to Instagram that appears to be a teaser for something big.

The post is an image of a warrior fighting a creature in Sleep Token’s Arcadia, seemingly one of the ‘glitch’ images from the end of the Emergence music video that fans have spotted throughout the singles and title track's visuals. The text across the image and the caption (which is soundtracked by the title song) reads “The Battle Continues…” but what exactly does that mean?

The last week has seen Sleep Token fans furiously decoding clues and puzzles left by the band, and has some theorising that a second album (or at least an announcement of something) might be on the horizon.

Weirdly placed capital letters in song lyrics from the new album on Apple Music have also been spotted – with listeners noting that the letters seem to be spelling out various words relevant to Even in Arcadia‘s pre-launch promotions.

So far, the words house, cycle, the, and must have been decoded – seemingly a clear nod to the mottos of the two houses fans had to choose from prior to the album announcement. For reference, those two phrases are “The Cycle Must End,” and “The House Must Endure.”

Some fans have been theorising that these clues point to a second album coming imminently – to represent both House Veridian and The Feathered Host. Others think it might simply mean more music, a tour, or just another puzzle for fans to solve in the band’s in-depth lore that’s gauranteed to send you down a rabbit hole should you go researching.

While it could mean more music, it’s just as likely a teaser for new tour dates for Even in Arcadia – including, hopefully, an Aussie leg. It could also be entirely unrelated – with the lyrics of songs like Caramel delving into the pressures and pain of notoriety, some believe Sleep Token are planning to call it quits and return back to obscurity for their own wellbeing. The new post’s wording does seem to lean away from the latter option, but Sleep Token are nothing if not surprising.

The band are known for cryptic messaging, leaning into their own lore, and fans finding infinite nods and puzzles in just about everything Sleep Token do. However, this new teaser has listeners stumped so far – the post on Instagram alone has nearly two thousand comments mostly to the tune of, “what does this mean?” and counting as of thirty minutes since going live.

The Sleep Token subreddit is about to go full steam ahead on working out exactly what it means, surely – but for now, it’s all speculation.
