Rumored Spider-Man 4 Directors Had A Decision to Make
Jun 10, 2024 at 12:02 am
When Bad Boys For Life was announced, everyone thought that it would be the end of the Bad Boys saga. The third film would go out with a bang

Spider-Man 4 has had several rumored directors, with Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah being the latest names in the mix. It was reported that they were the frontrunners for the role, as chosen by Kevin Feige himself. While there are no official, confirmed sources for this rumor, their talent has certainly not gone unnoticed.
Their recent film, Bad Boys: Ride or Die, is a prime example of their excellent work. The film had fans buzzing with excitement and garnered stellar reviews despite being the fourth installment in the franchise. In a recent interview, the pair discussed their decision to continue the series.
The Rumored Spider-Man 4 Directors Had a Decision to Make
When Bad Boys For Life was announced, most assumed that it would serve as the concluding chapter in the Bad Boys saga. The third film would go out with a bang, and even if it didn’t succeed, the series would at least get a proper sendoff. However, the film ended up being a massive success for Sony Pictures, and a fourth film was quickly greenlit.
During a recent interview with Collider, Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah were asked about their decision to make a fourth installment in the film series. Even though Bad Boys: Ride or Die was announced after the third film was released, there is a post-credit scene that suggests there is more to come.
We really though that Bad Boys for Life would be the last one. That’s why we called it Bad Boys for Life.
“I Really Thought I Needed a Diaper”: Will Smith and Martin Lawrence Narrowly Escaped a Huge Accident When One Stunt Scene in Bad Boys 2 Went South
Their response to this question was quite interesting, as they revealed that even though they were convinced Bad Boys For Life was the final film, they decided to shoot the scene anyway.
Fate Stepped In
After shooting the post-credit scene, Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah were torn on whether or not to include it in the film. They didn’t mind returning for another film, but officially, Bad Boys For Life was the last installment in the franchise. Needing another idea, the pair came up with the perfect way to decide what to do.
We were thinking about doing that little post-credit scene, and it was 50-50. We were not sure if we were going to put it in the movie or not, and then we basically flipped a coin and we said ‘Okay, let’s put the post-credit scene in.’
Bad Boys 4 Behind the Scenes Will Smith Video is So Brutally Awesome Fans are Questioning Why WB Canceled a DC Movie from Same Directors
They flipped a coin and let fate decide if they should continue the franchise with the small scene or put it to rest. Considering the scene did make it into the final cut, fans can guess what the result of the coin flip was.
While their method of decision-making was certainly interesting, there’s no denying that fans are glad they kept the scene in and the franchise got to continue, giving Will Smith and Martin Lawrence another chance to play the Bad Boys.
Bad Boys For Life is available on Prime Video.
