The first quarter earnings season kicks off in earnest on Monday, with upbeat earnings from food delivery firm DoorDash (NASDAQ:DASH) setting a positive tone for the period.

Later in the week, the focus will be on earnings from U.S. President Donald Trump’s favorite company- coffee chain Dunkin' (NASDAQ:DNK)- and upbeat earnings from the company could continue the positive mood.

Here is a look at some of the key earnings to watch this week:

*

Monday: DoorDash (NASDAQ:DASH)-adjusted earnings per share are expected to come in at $0.37, according to analysts polled by Bloomberg, who are also projecting revenue of $2.01 billion. The food delivery firm beat earnings and revenue estimates in the fourth quarter. A strong start to the year is expected as inflation continues to impact consumer behavior and food delivery services are a key part of this. Any signs of slowing demand could be a key focus.

Post Holdings (NYSE:MYO)-adjusted earnings are expected to come in at $1.16 per share and revenue of $2.53 billion, according to analysts polled by Bloomberg. The cereal and coffee firm had a strong fourth quarter, overcoming rising input costs to post better-than-expected earnings and revenue. Analysts will be looking for signs of further improvement in earnings and revenue, amid easing inflationary pressures.

*

Tuesday: Boston Properties (NYSE:BXP)-adjusted earnings are expected to come in at $1.56 per share, according to analysts polled by Bloomberg, who are also projecting revenue of $908 million. The real estate investment trust has seen strong demand for its properties, amid a tight commercial real estate market. A key focus will be on occupancy rates and rental income.

Dunkin'-adjusted earnings are expected to come in at $0.81 per share, according to analysts polled by Bloomberg, who are also projecting revenue of $544.3 million. The coffee and donut chain has seen strong demand for its products, amid a shift in consumer behavior towards convenience formats. Analysts will be looking for signs of further improvement in earnings and revenue, amid a competitive landscape.

*

Wednesday: Applied Materials (NASDAQ:MS)-adjusted earnings are expected to come in at $1.66 per share, according to analysts polled by Bloomberg, who are also projecting revenue of $7.04 billion. The semiconductor equipment maker has seen strong demand for its products, amid a global chip shortage. A key focus will be on the company’s outlook for the second quarter and full-year 2024, amid slowing macroeconomic activity.

Mondelez International (NASDAQ:MDLZ)-adjusted earnings are expected to come in at $0.64 per share, according to analysts polled by Bloomberg, who are also projecting revenue of $7.33 billion. The food and beverage firm has seen strong demand for its products, amid a shift in consumer behavior towards at-home consumption. Analysts will be looking for signs of further improvement in earnings and revenue, amid a competitive landscape.

*

Thursday: Best Buy (NYSE:BBY)-adjusted earnings are expected to come in at $2.64 per share, according to analysts polled by Bloomberg, who are also projecting revenue of $15.03 billion. The consumer electronics retailer has seen strong demand for its products, amid a shift in consumer behavior towards technology. A key focus will be on same-store sales and operating margin.

*

Friday: Finally, traders will be keeping an eye on the closely followed University of Michigan consumer sentiment survey for April. Economists polled by Bloomberg have an estimate of 97, down slightly from March’s reading of 97.3. Consumer sentiment has been a key focus this year, amid high inflation and rising interest rates. The survey showed that consumers grew less pessimistic in March than economists had anticipated, and the snapshot signaled that the anticipated recession in the first quarter failed to materialize.
