Graham Norton puts lavish $5.6 million NYC carriage house up for sale
May 15, 2025 at 10:05 am
Graham Norton has placed his New York City carriage house on the market, and it's just as charming as you'd expect from the popular TV host
Irish comic and television presenter Graham Norton is selling his charming, ivy-covered carriage house in a lively sector of Manhattan for $5,595 million.
Located at 6 Sniffen Court in Murray Hill, which was once, to his surprise, the property of supermodel Claudia Schiffer.
Norton felt an immediate affinity to the place as it reminded him of London, where he was based at the time. “I couldn’t stop thinking about it, and finally caved in and flew over to see it,” disclosed Norton, who had no plans to move to New York at the time but went on to do so after making the spur-of-the-moment house visit in 2021. Though he explored other options upon landing in New York, none appealed to him quite like Sniffen Court. He admitted: “Once you step into Sniffen Court there is no sense that you are in the heart of Manhattan!”.
The property was purchased by Norton in 2002 and has served as his secondary residence, especially when he was busy filming the “NY Graham Norton” show in the city in 2004.
But Sniffen Court isn’t your typical street—its seclusion and unique design have historically attracted A-list celebrities such as legendary composer Cole Porter and rock superstar Lenny Kravitz.
While Norton has enjoyed this precious find for over two decades, he has recently completed a complete renovation—at one point contemplating settling down in New York, which he eventually did in 2022 when he got married.
Norton’s chic three-story, 20-foot-wide dwelling is an architectural marvel in the Early Romanesque Revival style, offering a cozy 2,500 square feet with the perk of a spacious 465 square feet rooftop deck.
This home features two bedrooms and two-and-a-half bathrooms, all adorned with gleaming hardwood floors and meticulously restored crown moldings and baseboards.
“It’s a great house for entertaining with the roof terrace for summer and the working fireplace in the winter,” Norton reflected, highlighting the prime amenities that render his place perfect for hosting.
Recalling pleasant memories of social gatherings, Norton shared, “There have been lots of parties, big and small, over the years.” He describes his residence with fondness as “a jewel box.”
Hitting the real estate scene at $5,595 million, as confirmed by listing broker Chris Kann from the Corcoran Group, this standout property also comes with ongoing expenses—a yearly property tax bill of $40,156 and an additional $1,800 in annual fees due to a residents’ association.
“London remains where my work is and where we spend the vast majority of our time,” Norton stated, hinting at his reason for deciding to sell.
In more Norton-related property buzz, Finance Monthly has reported that he's also putting his elegant Georgian townhouse in London's fashionable Wapping neighborhood, close to the River Thames, up for sale for $6.6 million.
Seems like Norton might be on the lookout for a fresh hideaway to one day kick back in with his husband.
