How to whitelist addresses for cryptocurrency wallets to restrict transfers?

To add a cryptocurrency address to your wallet's whitelist (e.g., TP Wallet), download the official app, locate the settings, find the security/whitelist section, add the address, confirm, and test with a small transaction.

Choose the right wallet

Different cryptocurrency wallets have different ways to set up whitelists. Common ones include MetaMask, Trust Wallet, TP wallet, etc. Take TP wallet as an example, it supports multiple currencies, has rich features and a large user base. First confirm that the wallet supports the whitelist function and check the wallet official website or document description.

Download and install wallet

After confirming your wallet, go to the official channel to download. If you use TP wallet, search for "TP wallet" in the mobile app store (Android or Apple), click Download and install. The computer side downloads the adaptive version from the official website and completes the installation according to the prompts to ensure that the download source is formal and prevent malware from invading.

Open your wallet and log in

After installation, open the wallet app. For the first use, you need to create a wallet, follow the steps to set a password, backup mnemonics, etc., and be sure to save mnemonics properly. Already wallet users can directly enter their password or use fingerprints, facial recognition and other login methods to enter the main wallet interface.

Enter the wallet setting interface

In the main wallet interface, look for the "Settings" option. TP wallet is usually in the "My" page in the lower right corner of the interface, click to enter the settings section. Different wallet locations may be different. If you cannot find them, use the wallet search function or view the help document.

Find whitelist settings portal

In the settings interface, locate security-related options, such as "Security Settings", "Asset Management Security", etc. In the TP wallet, you can find the "White List" option in "Security Settings". Some wallets have deep white lists, so you need to patiently look up menus at all levels.

Add whitelist address

After entering the whitelist settings page, click the "Add Address" button. Manually enter the cryptocurrency address to add, or add it by scanning the QR code to ensure that the address is accurate, otherwise it may lead to loss of funds.

Confirm the addition operation

After entering the address, the wallet will ask for confirmation. You may need to enter your password again, perform fingerprint verification or other authentication methods, and follow the prompts to complete the confirmation so that the address can be successfully added to the whitelist.

Check the whitelist list

After the addition is completed, return to the whitelist settings page to see if the address you just added is in the list and is displayed normally. You can add notes to the address for easy identification, such as marking the name or purpose of the transaction object.

Manage whitelist addresses

If you want to add a new address in the future, repeat the above adding steps. To delete the address, select the address in the whitelist list, click the "Delete" option and confirm. If you need to modify the address, delete it first and then add the correct address again.

Whitelist function test

After setting up the whitelist, you can conduct a small transfer test. Transfer a small amount of cryptocurrency to the address on the whitelist to see if the transfer is completed successfully. If transferring money to non-whitelist addresses, the system should block the operation and prompt that the address is not on the whitelist.

Regularly review whitelists

Check the whitelist regularly to remove addresses that are no longer used or trusted. When the transaction situation changes, update the whitelist in a timely manner to ensure that it meets the current transaction needs and ensure the safety of funds.
