How to Transfer from Crypto.com to a Ledger Hardware Wallet
Ensure your Ledger is updated, use matching blockchain networks, verify addresses on-device, and never share your recovery phrase when transferring crypto from Crypto.com.

Preparing Your Ledger Device for Crypto.com Transfer
1. Ensure your Ledger device is updated to the latest firmware version through Ledger Live. Outdated firmware may prevent proper connection or asset recognition.
- Install the appropriate cryptocurrency app on your Ledger via Ledger Live. For transferring assets like Ethereum or Binance Smart Chain tokens from Crypto.com, install the Ethereum or BSC app accordingly.
- Verify the receive address directly on the Ledger device screen after initiating a deposit in Ledger Live. This step protects against address spoofing or malware interference.
- Use only the official Ledger Live application downloaded from the Ledger website. Third-party tools may compromise private key security.
- Keep your 24-word recovery phrase offline and never input it into any digital device or website.
Withdrawing Cryptocurrency from Crypto.com App
1. Open the Crypto.com app and navigate to the Wallet section. Select the specific cryptocurrency you intend to transfer, such as CRO, ETH, or USDT.
- Tap “Withdraw” and choose the network that matches the one supported by your Ledger. For example, withdraw USDT using the Ethereum (ERC-20) network if storing it under the Ethereum app on Ledger.
- Paste the public address copied from Ledger Live into the withdrawal field. Double-check that the address format corresponds to the selected blockchain—ERC-20, BEP-20, etc.
- Enter the amount to transfer and review all network fees displayed. Crypto.com may charge a small fee depending on the asset and network congestion.
- Confirm the transaction using two-factor authentication within the app. Once confirmed, the crypto will begin processing toward your Ledger’s wallet address.
Verifying the Transaction and Securing Assets
1. After initiating the withdrawal, monitor the transaction status in the Crypto.com app under Transaction History. Look for confirmation status and blockchain explorer links.
- Open Ledger Live and ensure the correct account associated with the deposited address is visible. New assets may take a moment to appear after first receipt.
- Click on the transaction ID (TXID) provided by Crypto.com and verify its details on a blockchain explorer like Etherscan or BscScan. Check recipient address, amount, and confirmations.Never share your Ledger device’s PIN or recovery phrase with anyone, even if prompted by a seemingly legitimate service.
- If the balance does not appear in Ledger Live after several minutes, manually add the token under the 'Tokens' section if it's a non-default ERC-20 or BEP-20 asset.
- Reconcile the received amount against what was sent minus network fees. Discrepancies beyond the stated fee should prompt an investigation into network selection errors.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I send any token from Crypto.com directly to my Ledger?Yes, but only if the token’s blockchain is supported by an app installed on your Ledger. For instance, Polygon (MATIC) tokens must use the Polygon app on Ledger, and transfers must occur over the Polygon network.
What happens if I send ERC-20 tokens to my Ledger using the wrong network?Sending tokens via an incompatible network—like withdrawing USDT on the Tron (TRC-20) network to an Ethereum-based Ledger address—can result in permanent loss. Always match the withdrawal network with the receiving wallet’s blockchain standard.
Why doesn’t my token show up in Ledger Live after transfer?Ledger Live hides unsupported or unrecognized tokens by default. You can manually add them by entering the contract address, decimals, and symbol. Ensure the contract address matches the official one listed on a trusted blockchain explorer.
Is it safe to reuse the same Ledger address for multiple deposits from Crypto.com?Yes, reusing a public address is technically safe and common practice. However, consider generating a new address periodically for enhanced privacy, though this is optional for most users.
