OKEx Perpetual Contract Transaction Fees

OKEx charges a tiered transaction fee for perpetual contracts, based on the trading volume of the user in the past 30 days. The fee structure is as follows:

Maker Fees

Trading Volume (30 Days)Maker Fee
Less than 100,000 USDT0.02%
100,000 - 500,000 USDT0.018%
500,000 - 1,000,000 USDT0.016%
1,000,000 - 5,000,000 USDT0.014%
More than 5,000,000 USDT0.012%

Taker Fees

Trading Volume (30 Days)Taker Fee
Less than 100,000 USDT0.05%
100,000 - 500,000 USDT0.045%
500,000 - 1,000,000 USDT0.043%
1,000,000 - 5,000,000 USDT0.041%
More than 5,000,000 USDT0.039%

Example

For example, if a user has traded 200,000 USDT worth of perpetual contracts in the past 30 days, they would be charged a maker fee of 0.018% and a taker fee of 0.045%.

Additional Fees

In addition to the transaction fees, OKEx also charges the following fees:

  • Funding Rate: The funding rate is a fee paid between long and short positions on a perpetual contract. The funding rate is calculated based on the difference between the perpetual contract price and the spot price.
  • Margin Interest: Margin interest is charged if a user borrows funds from OKEx to trade perpetual contracts. The margin interest rate is calculated based on the prevailing interest rates in the market.

Conclusion

OKEx's transaction fees for perpetual contracts are competitive with other major exchanges. The tiered fee structure encourages users to trade more volume, which can lead to lower fees in the long run.
