How BitMart contracts are delivered
BitMart's contract delivery process adjusts to contract types, settling perpetual contracts through price differences and futures contracts through predetermined settlement prices or spot price deviations for options contracts.

How BitMart Contracts Are Delivered
BitMart is a cryptocurrency exchange that offers a variety of financial products and services, including spot trading, margin trading, futures trading, and options trading. The exchange also offers a variety of contract types, including perpetual contracts, futures contracts, and options contracts.
Perpetual contracts are a type of futures contract that do not have a set expiration date. This means that they can be held indefinitely, or until the trader decides to close the position. Futures contracts, on the other hand, have a set expiration date. This means that the trader must either close the position before the expiration date, or the position will be automatically closed at the expiration date.
Delivery Process
The delivery process for BitMart contracts varies depending on the type of contract.
- Perpetual Contracts
When a perpetual contract is closed, the trader will receive or pay the difference between the opening price and the closing price of the contract. - Futures Contracts
When a futures contract expires, the trader will receive or pay the difference between the opening price and the settlement price of the contract. The settlement price is determined by the exchange at the time of expiration. - Options Contracts
When an options contract expires, the trader will either receive or pay the difference between the strike price and the underlying asset price. The strike price is the price at which the trader can buy or sell the underlying asset.
Delivery Settlement
BitMart offers two methods of delivery settlement for contracts:
- Physical delivery
- Cash settlement
Physical delivery means that the trader will receive or deliver the underlying asset when the contract expires. Cash settlement means that the trader will receive or pay the difference between the contract price and the spot price of the underlying asset when the contract expires.
The type of delivery settlement that is used for a particular contract will depend on the underlying asset. For example, futures contracts for cryptocurrencies are typically settled in cash, while futures contracts for commodities such as gold or oil are typically settled physically.
Conclusion
The delivery process for BitMart contracts is designed to be efficient and reliable. The exchange offers two methods of delivery settlement to accommodate the different needs of traders.
