The initial issue price of HNT was $0.02 per coin during the initial coin offering (ICO) held in July 2019.

2. Issue Quantity:

Initial Supply (August 2019): 55,000,000,000 HNT
Current Circulating Supply (August 2023): 149,417,198,511 HNT
Maximum Supply: 223,000,000,000 HNT

The Helium Network gradually releases HNT coins over time through a process called minting. Minting occurs when Helium miners verify coverage and provide wireless connectivity to devices on the network.

3. Distribution of HNT:

Initially, 53% of the HNT supply was allocated to the Helium Foundation, 24% to investors, 11% to contributors, and 12% to the Genesis Block reward pool. However, as new HNT is minted, the distribution of the supply changes.
