The Ethereum Foundation has announced its "Trillion Dollar Security" initiative, or 1TS for short. The initiative is being led by Fredrik Svantes, who handles protocol security at the Ethereum Foundation, and Josh Stark from the leadership team. They’ve brought in a heavyweight crew too — including Samczsun from Paradigm, Mehdi Zerouali of Sigma Prime, and Zach Obront, co-founder of Etherealize.

The "1TS" moniker stands for "Trillion Dollar Security," alluding to the vast scale at which the crypto is aiming to operate. In a blog post announcing the initiative, the Ethereum Foundation noted that to reach the "full potential" of blockchain technology, it needs to process the same levels of money volume and user activity that today’s traditional financial systems do.
