Cryptocurrency strategist, InvestAnswers, predicts that Bitcoin (BTC) may outpace gold in the coming months.

The analyst, in a recent video update, notes that gold’s parabolic surge toward $3,500 has created a heavily overbought condition, setting the stage for a potential pullback.

However, despite reaching a new all-time high ahead of the halving—a feat never achieved before—Bitcoin continues to show minimal correlation with gold’s price movements.

“We’ve never seen gold go parabolic like this. We’re at $3,400 for gold now. It’s beginning to look a bit overbought, wouldn’t you say?” the analyst remarked.

Despite Bitcoin’s lackluster performance in the past six months, InvestAnswers remains optimistic about Bitcoin's long-term prospects, especially in comparison with gold.

“Now, take a look at Bitcoin. Even though it hit a new all-time high before the halving, which is something that’s never happened before, there’s still not much correlation with gold.”

The analyst further explained that Bitcoin’s link with gold has varied over time, sometimes moving in tandem and at other times diverging, contrasting with Bitcoin’s closer ties to risk assets like the Nasdaq.
