Stablecoin issuer Tether announced on Friday that it has entered into a subscription agreement with Bitdeer to acquire up to $150 million in shares through a private placement.

The agreement consists of 18,587,360 Class A ordinary shares and a warrant to purchase up to an additional 5,000,000 shares at $10.00 per share, the press release said. Bitdeer shares are currently trading between $6 to $7 a share.

The private placement transaction will yield $100 million in gross proceeds from the share issuance, with the potential to raise an additional $50 million if the warrant is fully exercised, as reported on Thursday.
