As reported by the Hindustan Times, India may be setting out to ban private cryptocurrency in the near future.

The decision is said to have been made by regulators despite the benefits of CBDCs, with the regulator allegedly opting for the decision due to the risks that come with private crypto.

However, it is said to do so while offering better security and without the common drawbacks.

Instead, he highlighted that the two digital assets serve different functions but can work well together.
