카타르, 디지털 자산 규제를 위한 새로운 프레임워크 출시, 안전하고 투명한 생태계 구축 목표

Qatar has unveiled a new framework to govern digital assets within the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC), a move that aligns with the goals of the Third Financial Sector Strategic Plan.

카타르는 제3차 금융 부문 전략 계획의 목표에 부합하는 움직임인 카타르 금융 센터(QFC) 내에서 디지털 자산을 관리하기 위한 새로운 프레임워크를 공개했습니다.

The new regime establishes a legal and regulatory foundation for digital assets, aiming to create a secure and transparent ecosystem that adheres to international standards, according to a statement from the QFC.

QFC의 성명서에 따르면, 새로운 체제는 국제 표준을 준수하는 안전하고 투명한 생태계 구축을 목표로 디지털 자산에 대한 법적 및 규제 기반을 구축합니다.

Sheikh Bandar bin Mohammed bin Saoud Al Thani, Governor of Qatar Central Bank, commented on the launch:

“Launching the 2024 Digital Assets Regulations marks a significant milestone in our journey towards realising the Third Financial Sector Strategy. These regulations will pave the way for attracting new businesses into the sector, and will support the establishment of a robust regulatory environment within the financial sector.”

“2024년 디지털 자산 규정의 출범은 제3차 금융 부문 전략 실현을 향한 우리의 여정에서 중요한 이정표입니다. 이러한 규정은 금융 부문에 새로운 기업을 유치할 수 있는 길을 열어줄 것이며 금융 부문 내에서 강력한 규제 환경 구축을 지원하게 될 것입니다.”

Yousuf Mohamed Al-Jaida, CEO of the Qatar Financial Centre, said the launch of the framework demonstrates the centre’s commitment to creating a robust regime. He added that the QFC hopes the clarity provided by this framework “will attract both domestic and international players.”

Michael Ryan, CEO of the Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority (QFCRA), said the framework lays the groundwork for “the development of a thriving and innovative financial services sector.”

카타르 금융센터 규제청(QFCRA)의 CEO인 마이클 라이언(Michael Ryan)은 이 프레임워크가 “번창하고 혁신적인 금융 서비스 부문의 발전”을 위한 토대를 마련한다고 말했습니다.

The statement said the QFC Digital Assets Framework is the result of extensive consultation and collaboration with industry stakeholders. It also revealed that since the launch of the QFC Digital Assets Lab in October 2023, more than 20 startups and fintech firms have been accepted to develop and test their solutions.

성명서는 QFC 디지털 자산 프레임워크가 업계 이해관계자와의 광범위한 협의와 협력의 결과라고 밝혔습니다. 또한 2023년 10월 QFC Digital Assets Lab이 출범한 이후 20개 이상의 스타트업 및 핀테크 기업이 솔루션을 개발하고 테스트하기 위해 승인을 받았다고 밝혔습니다.

With the unveiling of the framework, companies can now apply for a license to perform token service provider activities, the QFC said.
