In a new update on Youtube, Cowen shares with his 800,000+ subscribers that Ethereum might be in trouble if the Federal Reserve cuts rates in September; that is if the trading pair follows the same price path as it did during the 2016 market cycle.

コーウェン氏は、Youtubeの新しいアップデートで、80万人以上の登録者に対し、連邦準備制度が9月に金利を引き下げた場合、イーサリアムが困難に陥る可能性があることを共有している。つまり、取引ペアが 2016 年の市場サイクル中と同じ価格経路をたどった場合です。

“What is very interesting about 2016 when you look at the chart is that back then the lows were hit in June, whereas this time it happened in May; about a month earlier,” the analyst points out on the chart below.

「2016 年のチャートを見ると非常に興味深いのは、当時は安値が 6 月だったのに対し、今回は 5 月だったということです。約1か月前だった」とアナリストは以下のグラフで指摘している。

It might seem a bit blurry in the chart above, but ever since Ethereum's massive spike during the 2017/2018 bull run against Bitcoin, the coin has been mostly trending down.

上のチャートでは少し不鮮明に見えるかもしれませんが、2017年から2018年の対ビットコイン強気相場でイーサリアムが大暴落して以来、このコインはほぼ下落傾向にあります。

In the end, it remains to be seen whether this downtrend can ever be turned into an uptrend. For now, Bitcoin is outperforming ETH over the longer term, which makes sense if you look at the utility of the financial assets.
