Bitcoin (BTC) price hit a new all-time high against the Euro on Monday, making a new €68,000 all-time high.

According to CryptoCompare data, Bitcoin hit an intraday high of $73,621 that failed to breach its $73,740 all-time high, but the cryptocurrency rose to €67,974 in the latest rally, surpassing its previous all-time high of €66,815 reached earlier this year.

Popular Bitcoin analyst Tuur Demeester was one of the first to point out the new all-time high on social media, saying that the “350 million citizens of the Eurozone just experienced a new all-time high for Bitcoin.”

Nevertheless, the cryptocurrency has since endured a mild correction and is now trading at €66,600 amid a wider downturn that also saw BTC drop below the $73,000 mark it hit earlier in the week.

Sui outperforms despite Bitcoin’s new high

In the wider altcoin sector, Layer-1 blockchain Sui has been significantly outperforming the market with a 14% surge in a significant recovery after enduring a downturn that saw it plunge below the $1.7 mark. It’s now trading above $2, having seen a significant rise in the month native USDC was launched on its network.

The total market capitalization of the cryptocurrency space rose by around 5% over the same period, with major altcoins including Ethereum, BNB, Solana, and XRP failing to keep up with Sui’s bull run.
