World leading crypto exchange Binance has announced its support for the upcoming upgrade of the Optimism (OP) network, according to a Friday announcement on its official website.

公式ウェブサイトでの金曜日の発表によると、世界をリードする仮想通貨取引所バイナンスは、オプティミズム（OP）ネットワークの今後のアップグレードへのサポートを発表した。

As part of the preparations for the network upgrade and hard fork, which is set to take place on January 9, 2025, Binance will be temporarily suspending deposits and withdrawals on the Optimism network.

2025年1月9日に予定されているネットワークアップグレードとハードフォークの準備の一環として、バイナンスはオプティミズムネットワークでの入出金を一時的に停止する。

The suspension will begin an hour before the upgrade, at 17:00 UTC on the day, to ensure a smooth transition during and after the upgrade, the exchange confirmed in the post.

While deposits and withdrawals will be paused, Binance noted that users will still be able to trade Optimism tokens (OP) as usual, meaning they can still buy, sell, and swap their tokens during this period.

To ensure this, the exchange stated that it will handle all technicalities required by the upgrade on its users’ behalf, without the need for any action from their side.
