Peshawar Zalmi won the toss and chose to field first against Quetta Gladiators

output: Both Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators take the field, boasting a desired momentum as they won their previous matches against Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings respectively.

Zalmi had a rocky start to the league, losing their first three matches. However, they bounced back in style with a seven-wicket win over Qalandars.

Meanwhile, Gladiators had a mixed outing in the last five matches. After losing their first game to Islamabad United, they bounced back to win the next game against Karachi Kings.

After losing their third game to Qalandars, they again made a comeback and won the fourth game against Kings. Their last game was a close encounter with Qalandars, which they lost by eight runs.

Both teams will be looking to carry their momentum into the next game and get one step closer to the playoffs.

GLADIATORS’ INNINGS

Electing to bat first, Gladiators got off to a strong start with openers Finn Allen and Saud Shakeel putting on a 76-run partnership for the first wicket.

However, once Allen fell for 37 off 24, Gladiators lost wickets in quick succession and were reduced to 106-5 in the 13th over.

Kusal Mendis then joined forces with Hassan Nawaz to attempt to salvage the innings. The pair added 46 runs for the sixth wicket before Mendis fell for 32 off 27.

Gladiators eventually finished their innings on 153-7 after 20 overs. In addition to Allen’s knock, Nawaz also made a useful 28 not out off 19.

For Zalmi, Luke Wood was the pick of the bowlers, taking 2-19 from his four overs.

ZALMI’S INNINGS

Chasing 154 to win, Zalmi got off to a poor start as they lost both openers Babar Azam and Saim Ayub with the score on 26 in the fourth over.

However, Tom Kohler Cadmore and Mohammad Haris then joined forces to put on a 91-run partnership for the third wicket and bring the chase back into view.

Cadmore reached his half-century off 34 balls and eventually fell for a 56-ball 75.

Haris remained unbeaten on 57 off 38 and guided Zalmi to a seven-wicket win with 10 balls to spare.

The leg-spinner Abrar Khumar claimed 2-26 from his four overs.
