XRP Is NOT a Dead Coin — Angel Investor Debunks the Myth with Facts!

Apr 05, 2025 at 05:00 pm Crypto Station

XRP is not a dead coin — that’s the clear message from angel investor Armando Pantoja, who recently addressed growing criticism within the crypto space. Some voices have labeled XRP as “dead,” mainly because it hasn’t hit a new all-time high since 2018. But Pantoja strongly disagrees. He says the claim is “devoid of logic,” especially considering XRP is currently the fourth-largest crypto by market cap, sitting just behind Bitcoin and Ethereum. To add context, XRP’s market cap now stands at over $112 billion. And as Pantoja points out, “A dead coin obviously cannot have a $112.8 billion market cap.” That’s a fair point. If XRP were truly dead, it wouldn’t be maintaining its place at the top of the rankings. Looking back, Pantoja used historical data from CoinMarketCap to prove his point. Ten years ago, coins like Dash, BitShares (BTS), NXT, and Paycoin (XPY) were in the top ten. Today, most of them have disappeared or become irrelevant. Yet XRP, once ranked number two behind Bitcoin, is still here. It has survived through shifting market cycles and competition. According to Pantoja, this is not something to ignore. He calls it “success bias.” In his words: “People don’t realize that all these other coins—hundreds, even thousands of coins—that were supposed to be great projects are gone now. XRP has held on, and that shows it’s not a dead coin.” He also pushed back on criticism about XRP’s price. While it hasn’t surpassed its 2018 peak of $3.83, it currently trades at $2.03. But he argues that focusing only on coins that performed better than XRP ignores the reality — “For every three or four coins that did better, there are 10,000 others that failed.” Pantoja’s comments remind us that longevity in crypto is rare. And whether one likes XRP or not, it’s hard to argue with over a decade of survival and consistent relevance in the market. #xrp #xrpnews #xrpanalysis #xrpprice
