Recently the Shiba Inu team published a quick guide showing community members how to bridge their Bone ShibaSwap (BONE) tokens between Ethereum and Shibarium. They performed the demonstration via a short video posted on the official X account.
Bridging BONE from Ethereum to Shiba Inus Shibarium
According to the video, the most important requirement is to have some BONE tokens like MetaMask in Web3 wallets. Once this first requirement is checked, the next step is to navigate to the secure Shiba Inu bridge portal at shibarium.shib.io/bridge via a web browser.
After reaching the original portal, users must connect their wallets to the Shibarium bridge site. The “Connect” button is in the upper right corner of the site. After a successful connection, the balances in ones wallet become accessible via the Shibarium bridge portal.
Accordingly, users can enter the amount of BONE tokens they want to transfer from Ethereum to Shibarium and click on the Transfer button. When clicked, a short notification appears informing users about what is and is not possible via the Shibarium bridge portal.
It specifically states that users cannot have authority or share in the Shibarium Network. However, this functionality is accessible via Ethereum Mainnet. On the other hand, it is also possible to transfer funds between the Shiba Inu blockchain and Ethereum.
Importantly, once the transfer from Ethereum to Shibarium is initiated, users will be asked to authorize the transaction through their wallet.
Additionally, the video demonstration shows that there are two processes involved in the deposit process. Therefore, the estimated completion time of the bridging process is 20 minutes.
Once successfully completed, users who wish to view the network in their MetaMask wallet can add MetaMask by going to Chain.shibrpc.com.
