Ubisoft’s Game Lets Players Truly Own Their Champions

Ubisoft’s upcoming Web3 game, Champions Tactics: Grimoria Chronicles, is set to launch on October 23rd. This tactical role-playing game will be available on the Oasys blockchain, promising to enhance gaming experiences and grant players true ownership over their in-game assets.

According to the game's executive producer, Sylvain Loe-Mie, Web3 technology seamlessly integrates into the game, enabling players to own their digital items in a meaningful way. This aligns with the game's concept, where players build teams of champions to engage in player-versus-player (PvP) battles.

Throughout the game, players can collect, trade, and customize their champions, ultimately forging their dream team. One unique feature is the "Forge" system, which allows players to create new champions by combining different traits and abilities.

Ubisoft has conducted extensive testing of Champions Tactics during the alpha and beta phases, gathering player feedback to refine game mechanics and enhance the overall gaming experience.

However, the integration of digital collectibles in gaming also presents potential risks. In this regard, Loe-Mie acknowledges concerns related to "market volatility and fluctuating demand," which could impact the entire gaming experience.

Emphasizing Ubisoft's dedication to creating a lasting game, he highlights their focus on ensuring that digital collectibles enhance the game rather than dictating it. This statement aligns with the broader goal of creating a sustainable game that players can continue to enjoy over the long term.
