Coin specialist David Guest identified the hoard as dating back to the late 1530s, a period of significant political and religious upheaval in England. The coins, struck between the 1420s and 1530s, feature images of English kings and queens, offering a glimpse into the Tudor dynasty. The hoard's value at the time of burial was a whopping 26 pounds, which would be a significant sum at the time, considering that the average property price was 25 pounds!

Coin dealer David Guest believes that the total price realized will be significantly more than the pre-sale estimate.
