SPOTTING this detail on a rare 50p coin could see it sell for £134.

A commemorative coin minted by the Royal Mint in 2009 to mark 250 years since Kew Gardens opened could be worth a small fortune.

The coin, which is uncirculated and therefore would not be received as change if you paid for something in a shop, showcases a leafy vine that is wrapping around a Chinese pagoda. It is also uncirculated.

There were only 210,000 of these coins made, making it one of the rarest pieces out there.

It is no surprise that the coin is highly sought after by collectors.

Recently, we spotted on eBay that the coin sold for £134.07 after 19 bids.

However, it is important to remember that coins are only worth how much a bidder is willing to pay.

We spotted an identical coin which sold for £79 after nearly 20 bids.

So, if you are keen to sell a coin, it is worth bearing in mind that you could end up receiving more or less than you initially hoped for.

The coin also features the late Queen Elizabeth II on the front, with the engraver's initials, Ian Rank-Broadley, visible below.

In the past, these coins have sold for up to £700 on eBay.

The coins are uncirculated and fold 2009 on one side and have a metallic gold hue.

If you have a coin like this lying around, you can sell it on eBay or another marketplace.

Keep an eye out for bidders in particular as this will determine how much you can sell the coin for.

The Royal Mint has also created a second version of the coin, which is uncirculated and includes the same image of the leafy vine and pagoda.

The only difference is the date, which reads 2019.

Recently one of these coins sold for £82 after 11 bids.

The coins are uncirculated and fold 2019 on one side and have a metallic gold hue.
