The partnership between Hedera Foundation, EQTY Labs, and Accenture underscores a pivotal moment to drive innovation in public sector.

The Hedera Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports the development and adoption of the Hedera blockchain public ecosystem, has joined forces with technology partner EQTY Lab and consulting firm Accenture to introduce a new solution for transparent and tamper-proof oversight of artificial intelligence (AI), including generative AI systems, in public and government environments.
The platform unveiled this development in a series of X posts on Wednesday, elaborating on the partnership and its implications.
The partnership between Hedera Foundation, EQTY Labs, and Accenture marks a significant step in driving innovation within the public sector. As institutions are increasingly integrating AI systems for various operations, the focus is on ensuring responsible autonomy and independent oversight of these systems.
To achieve this, Hedera Foundation, in collaboration with EQTY Lab and Accenture, has developed a solution that empowers governments to organize and maintain control over the systems used to make critical decisions. The solution, which is powered by Hedera’s no-mining blockchain technology, also introduces cryptographically verifiable mechanisms for oversight.
This integration of verifiable AI and blockchain technologies enables Hedera Foundation to assist institutions in sustaining security and control throughout digital transformation initiatives. At the heart of the solution lies the inclusion of EQTY Lab’s Verifiable Compute with Hedera’s Token Service (HTS) and Consensus Service (HCS).
This combination permits full auditability of any computation, data used, and weights applied in an AI model, ultimately improving compliance and data integrity across autonomous, distributed systems. Moreover, Accenture will be instrumental in developing implementation playbooks, scalable deployment plans, and business logic agendas for public sector-related use cases.
“We’re excited to introduce a new AI solution with Accenture and EQTY Lab that will help governments and public sector organizations manage AI-driven decisions with transparency, auditability, and trust via the Hedera network,” said Frederik Gregaard, chief strategy officer at Hedera Chain. “This partnership underscores the pivotal moment we’re at to drive innovation in public sector. As institutions are increasingly integrating AI systems for various operations, the key is ensuring responsible autonomy and independent oversight of these systems.”
This initiative highlights a broader trend of merging AI and blockchain technologies in both the technology development and policy spheres to fulfill the growing demand for auditable, ethical digital governance. In an age defined by rapidly evolving technology, the ability to track changes, verify actions, and maintain a complete audit trail is becoming increasingly crucial.
Institutions are seeking ways to transition smoothly to new technology while retaining control over processes and data. In the era of automation, the blueprint for dependable AI systems is also highly sought after. Through this partnership, Hedera Foundation, EQTY Lab, and Accenture aim to facilitate the development of next-generation AI systems that are not only capable but also trustworthy and transparent.
