Solana Mobile is back — and this time, it’s not just another device

The Seeker, Solana's second-gen crypto smartphone, ships on August 4 with two powerful upgrades: the SKR token and a decentralized framework called TEEPIN.

Solana Mobile is back — and this time, it’s not just another device

Solana Mobile is aiming to release its second-generation cryptocurrency smartphone, the Seeker, on August 4.

The phone, which was first announced in March and will run on the Solana blockchain, is powered by two ‘powerful' upgrades: the SKR token and a decentralized framework called TEEPIN.

Together, they aim to "unite the best of web2 and web3" in a device that prioritizes user ownership and the token economy.

The Seeker will feature a triple-camera system and a 2023 Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. It will also come with 128GB of storage and 12GB of RAM.

Solana Mobile’s smartphone, Saga, was meant to ship in early 2023 but faced several setbacks. It finally began selling in August 2023 after airdrop hunters helped to clear out inventory.

The company says that it has over 150,000 units of the Seeker ready to ship and that it's already planning for the next generation of devices.

Solana Mobile says that it's also working on new use cases for the SKR token, which will be used to power rewards, in-app economies, and user ownership across the mobile experience.

"We’re excited to announce that Seekers start shipping on August 4th, 2025. But that’s not all…Today, we’re revealing the evolution of web3 mobile, and the next phase for Solana Mobile"

Solana Mobile is back — and this time, it’s not just another device.

Solana Mobile hopes to sell 150,000 units of its second-gen crypto smartphone, Seeker, by August 4.

Where the first model, Saga, hit zero sales until airdrop-hunters made it sell out, Seeker arrives with a plan.

Solana Mobile says it's seen "overwhelming demand" for the phone, which will feature three rear cameras, triple-camera zoom capabilities, and 12GB of RAM. It will also be powered by a 2023 Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset and will come with 128GB of storage.

The company is also introducing two new technologies: SKR and TEEPIN.

SKR is a token that will be used to power a variety of in-phone experiences, such as games, social apps, and productivity apps. It will also be used to reward users for their activity and to create new forms of in-app currency.

TEPIN is a three-layer trustless architecture designed to let users, developers, and devices interact securely through cryptographic verification, not central authority.

"We're not just making a phone. We're making a mobile economy," said a Solana Mobile spokesperson. "And we're inviting everyone to join us on this journey."

Solana Mobile's Saga smartphone was meant to ship in early 2023 but faced several setbacks. It finally began selling in August 2023 after airdrop hunters helped to clear out inventory.

Now, Solana Mobile says it's ready to take the next step with the Seeker and its two powerful upgrades: SKR and TEEPIN. Together, they aim to "unite the best of web2 and web3" in a device that prioritizes user ownership and the token economy.

"We believe that the mobile industry is at a turning point," said a Solana Mobile spokesperson. "Users are increasingly demanding more control over their data and digital assets. And developers are looking for new platforms to build decentralized applications."

Solana Mobile says that its vision is to create a "web3-native mobile economy" where users can seamlessly buy, sell, trade, and collect digital goods and services.

"We're excited to see what the community will build with SKR and TEEPIN," said the spokesperson. "The possibilities are endless."
