Sleep Token's ARG Campaign Continues to Expand with the Release of New Sheet Music

Part of a clandestine promotional campaign for an expected new album from the masked British alternative metal stars

British masked metal band Sleep Token are teasing a new album with a cryptic ARG campaign that has seen fans discussing Latin phrases and create a playthrough of new sheet music.

The band’s fans have been split into two factions, ‘House Veridian’ and ‘Feathered Host’, with both receiving unique messages and content. The factions are linked to different social media accounts, with the former’s moniker being '@houseverdian' and the latter's '@featheredhost'.

Earlier this month, Sleep Token fans began speculating about a new album after the band’s label, /[PIAS] Recordings, teased an "important announcement" on February 24.

The band’s fans on the Discord server then discovered that the date was written in Roman numerals on one of the band’s previous posts, which also included the coordinates for a specific part of London, close to the CTS bus station.

After inputting the coordinates and date into Google Maps, fans discovered a URL link that led to a website where they could sign up for the Sleep Token email list.

After signing up, fans received an email with a ZIP file, which included a new piece of artwork, sheet music for an apparently unreleased Sleep Token song, and a Latin phrase: ‘De profundis clamavi ad te domine’.

The phrase, which translates to "Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord," is from Psalm 130 in the Vulgate, and its discovery led to further speculation and conspiracies about what the band have up their sleeve.

The new Sleep Token song appears to be titled ‘Relativity’, and fans on Reddit have since created a playthrough of the sheet music.

The notation itself was spotted earlier this month in a post on the band's official Instagram, which also includes another Latin phrase: 'In iij pater noster et avē marIae, adDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDeDe
